This was a tip I picked up a couple years ago. Cheap plastic tarps, like from Harbor Freight, are useful when camping. They can be a footprint if your tent doesn't have one. I use the smallest one HF sells in the vestibule of my tents since the footprint doesn't cover that. It was $3.

August 2019 trip post.
I realized I never posted the map of my route. Don't mind the dead-space line; that's where my SPOT unit ran out of battery power. It was a great trip.
Back on the road
I'm staying at a campground in southern Illinois Sunday night. No photos; I was busy beating potentially severe thunderstorms. Further, I have no connection from my campsite.

Setting out.
450 miles today. About 350 of those in 90-100F heat. It broke close to my destination due to rain, which I missed - came in behind the front. I was rewarded with this view from my campsite.
